Description

GENERAL: the high-ranking military man caricatured.

The General is one of those recurring characters: insignia, rigid pose, Prussian mustache, that authority you feel from meters away. I drew him as a caricature — with a degree of absurdity that humanizes the figure without losing the presence. Tradition of 19th century political caricature (Honoré Daumier in France, Thomas Nast in the US) all the way to 70s alternative comics (Robert Crumb drawing Nixon). Power seen from below always looks more ridiculous.
