Paul Felmer

Visual Artist from Santiago de Chile, Director of Potrero Films and CO-Founder of the production company Potrero Lounge. His work in design and illustrations have a strong influence from classic Horror and Scifi Cinema, Rock, comics and Kultura Kustom, mixed with pictorial influences from the great masters in the history of art.


Since his beginnings as an illustrator he has maintained a Lowbrow aesthetic (an underground visual art movement that emerged in the area of ​​Los Angeles, California , in the late 1970s). Admirer of the art of bad taste, irreverent, grotesque, the unpleasant. His work mixes classic codes of this genre with an interest in exaggeration and the viscerality of the human body.

With influences such as: Jimbo Phillips, Robert Crumb, Derek Riggs, Gustavo Dore, Simon Bisley, Frank Miller, Mike Mignola, Earl Norem, and great masters such as; Caravaggio, Théorore Géricault, Otto Dix among others.


In his work there are classical quotes recodified with pop symbols and elements of kustom culture. Unifying everything with inking and color work that is constantly evolving in search of new techniques.


Today his work as an artist and audiovisual director in potrero films dialogues with these influences and interests.
