GENDER

An "engendro" is what happens when you mix everything you shouldn't mix. A failed experiment that turned out to be more interesting than the original plan. It has no possible zoological classification, it doesn't belong to any known animal kingdom, it follows no evolutionary logic. It is pure accident, uncontrolled mutation, the error that became a character. I am fascinated by the concept of "engendro" because in art, the best things are born from mistakes — the line that went astray, the smudge that shouldn't be there but gives the drawing something the original plan didn't have.
