PRIMUS — FATHER ROOSTER Black Edition

Father Dog's companion. Design I made for the opening of the Sessanta Tour in Boston (2024). The Sessanta Tour is the first of many Maynard James Keenan (Tool, Puscifer, A Perfect Circle) birthday celebrations, alongside Puscifer and A Perfect Circle. Both Boston nights sold out.

Father Rooster was one of two designs — the other is Father Dog — made for those two specific Boston dates. This tee translates the official poster to fabric: same watchful father-rooster that was on the concert poster, now on cotton.

This Primus collaboration started earlier: in November 2022 I made the Rey Sapo / Rey Cuervo diptych for the Primus Tribute to Kings Tour in Chile, where the band played the entire Rush "A Farewell to Kings" album. Two kings at the threshold of decadence, one with a toad's head, the other with a raven's head, handing over heart and brain along with their crown. Everything that came afterwards with the band was born from that work — including this Father Rooster.
