IRON MAIDEN

The day has come! Maiden is in the air everywhere, so I couldn't stay out of this celebration. Here's my humble homage to the heaviest band on the planet.

And not just to Maiden but to the great Derek Riggs, who has been one of the most influential artists for me (you should see my high school math notebooks). His signature is in the crosshairs — not just as an atavistic reaction to his graphic legacy, but as a road sign. He's definitely marked the path for plenty of travelers across time and space.

Vangelis' soundtrack with the "Somewhere in Time" giant — they go together so well. Organic crossover for another Replicant image. I'm not going to get stuck on "Blade Runner" because that's for another tee, but I asked my 5-year-old kid what the title at the top said and he said with full confidence "Iron Maiden", so I think it reads.
