Description
GUNS N ROSES: one of those bands that marked the transition between Sunset Strip glam and 90s hard rock.
The design comes from a fascination with the crossed aesthetic of the band's original logo: guns and roses, the violent and the beautiful, all in the same symbol. Like Axl at his weirdest: long hair, plaid shirt, impossible voice. "Appetite for Destruction" in '87 changed the paradigm — and the original cover they had to pull (that Robert Williams painting with the creature assaulting a woman and the robot in revenge pose) is one of the great anecdotes in rock visual history.
