Before knowing that museums existed, I was already analyzing composition, color and visual narrative on Eddie's album covers. Powerslave, Somewhere in Time, Seventh Son — each album was a masterclass in illustration that shaped me without me realizing it. The tradition of metal album covers is an art genre in itself and Riggs is its Da Vinci. This design carries that entire debt, every line is a thank you to the master who taught me that graphic art could be as powerful as music. Drawn and hand-inked as it should be.
